Today's little thrift shop chancer, "Border Girl", by one Paulina Rubio, for twenty pence. I had no idea who she was, but going over the track list I had a hunch this was some kind of Latin dance pop affair, and so it was. It's a crazy mix of Latin, dance, light techno, R&B, rock, and even a bit of mariachi. She's a big star in Mexico, and this album "Border Girl" was Universal breaking her worldwide with a part English-language crossover album. Sold a million, and there is plenty to like, including a wild cover of THAT song by KIss. The techno elements are not too tub-thumping and the various other styles blend seamlessly into some really nice and frothy pop. Paulina is sort of like the missing link between Gloria Estefan and Shakira. This album ended up selling a million, and Paulina had arrived!

Don't think I'd buy it, but I wouldn't necessarily tune her out.

Re: Hey Paulina!
She's wildly popular. I only really think of her as a judge on La Voz Kids, where she was very likeable.
What? I watch kid talent contests on Spanish language TV. Don't judge me.

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
