I heard some JB versus Joe Tex, gang war type stories so I knew he was a dangerous asshole but Holy Crap!!

Was quite shocked at it all. It's quite damning of James Brown. As for his death and the reasons he may have been murdered, it sort of confirms what we all know, that the music and legal industries (especially when combined) are scum.

that was certainly gripping for the most part.
I must say I don't find the main character as reliable as the author does.
I don't mean to sound unsympathetic and it's certainly likely that everything she says is God's own truth.
still, the way she has that Dallas guy's number and then ends up doing his leg work for him?
there are lots of things like that. I know people aren't perfect and don't always make perfect decisions but I think there are more than a few holes you can drive a truck through.

Be that as it may, Foul forces are clearly at play. I'd watch a "True Crime" show about this in a heartbeat.

He did make the point though that CNN fact checked the wazoo out of it all, and as dodgy as she sounded, a lot of what she said seemed to stack up.
