Catches them at an interesting point - they can still almost/sorta be called a folk band, but prog influences creeping in big time. Only criticism is I don't like the Hudson and Ford songs so much on this one.

Love Ford's bass playing. Always thought the vocal outro sounded like Elton dropped in ("the early bird at DAAAWN.")

Also, I get why Hooper had to leave - he really was a folkie, and probably felt out of place once they became a rock band - but the combination of their voices is gorgeous - no offense to Mr. Lambert, but I'd miss that once it was gone.

i don't know it offhand, but it sounds a very familiar theme to me, so maybe i knew it at some point

My childhood friend who introduced me to Strawbs could never listen to "Sheep" - found it too disturbing.
