I voted "it's ok" but it's really somewhere between that and "love it".

I didn't like it much then and still didn't like it much now. Inoffensive 80s pop is about the most generous verdict I can muster. Tears For Fears were MUCH better.

I find most 80s pop quite offensive.
I voted "OK."

. Got Jimi's autograph after the show and went on to see him several times that year

I’d probably rather hear something by the Thompson Twins than Tears For Fears on the radio. They seemed to go from being a mob handed indie band that was always playing the Student Union circuit to the pop trio who supported Bowie on The Serious Moonlight tour almost overnight.
I voted ok.

It's a pretty good song, think I prefer Doctor Doctor over it though.

It's the sort of thing I look back on with a kind of nostalgic fondness, but when I listen to I find vaguely depressing in it's lack of ambition, energy, and kind of general vibe of being aural Bisto.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Yes.
The Thompson Twins were the exact moment when New Pop went wrong. None of their records was any good.

80s pop is where I live half the time and it can be uncool as you like - but TT were always, like Howard Jones, blanded out rubbish. Soz.

absolute shite on a stick. I saw them support The Dame. Both stank the place out.
