It was the 3rd of September

Postby Positive Passion » 01 Dec 2018, 07:41

And Great King Rat was born on the 21st of May

There's a fair few mentions of Christmas Day and one or two mentions of New Year's Day.

What other specific dates are mentioned?

Do you remember the 21st night of September?

Early morning April four.

On Hollywood West July 29
A kid swapping a fishing rod for a Dr. Feelgood album.

From the Go-Betweens' "Bye Bye Pride"

A white moon appears
Like a hole in the sky,
The mangroves go quiet.
In la Brisa de la Palma
A teenage Rasputin
Takes the sting from a gin.

When a woman learns to walk
She's not dependent anymore
A line from her letter, May twenty-four
And out on the bay
The current is strong
A boat can go lost

^^^ Bob Dylan's birthday. Not sure if that's significant.

Speaking of Dylan, does this count?

We carried you in our arms
On Independence Day

I expect so. And there's "a real live nephew of my uncle Sam, born on the 4th of July"

Today's the fourth of July
Another June has gone by
And when they light up our town
I just think what a waste of gunpowder and sky

Everyone will gather on the 24th of May
Sitting in the stands to watch the fireworks display

It was December 24th on Hollis ave in the dark
When I see a man chilling with his dog in the park
I approached very slowly with my heart full of fear
Looked at his dog, oh my god, an ill reindeer

(Just started watching Die Hard)
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

A couple from Al Stewart. Night Of The 4th Of May (from Orange), and The Last Day Of June 1934 (from Past, Present & Future).
We're usually skipping around the function room in our long-johns by now...

As I went down to Galway Town
To seek for recreation
On the seventeenth of August
Me mind being elevated
There were passengers assembled
With their tickets at the station
And me eyes began to dazzle
And they off to see the races

Friday night, August 14
