Roxy Music and Kraftwerk tower over the rest of the list.

They definitely care.

They spent decades being virtually forgotten. From what I can see from their messages on FB, they are grateful for everything coming their way these days.

Many of the great inductees really do care, like Darlene Love.

How large their output was shouldn’t matter. The MC5 aren’t being nominated for their large catalogue. They are being nominated for their work over a two year period.

You got me there. Personally, I love the Zombies, but do you put every Brit invasion group in? The Animals, Moody Blues, Dave Clark Five, etc., ect.

I hate the MC5. An average bar band who turned up the amps.

At least on record. They may have been great, but they do nothing for me on record. No personality whatsoever.

And I like that kind of loud, raucous stuff. I have tried. I really have.

And another year, another missed opportunity for the deserved induction of The Smiths and the awesome debacle the on stage "Reunion" would be...

Exactly the same as my picks although I went with Chaka Khan because of their one hit wonder being a massive guilty pleasure of mine.

MC5 were great, you cads! I just recently attempted to put together a playlist of the LP Michigan Rocks, which starts off with "Kick Out the Jams." I've been playing it all week!

For fuck's sake.

I wish I could tie a rock to each one of your legs and dump you in Lake Michigan.

The R&R Hall of Fame is on Lake Erie, man.

The Cure, Radiohead, Roxy, Kraftwerk and Todd. Next two would be Zombies and MC5 mostly off the top 5 because of lack of multiple good albums and songs.

RnR has to mean something beyond ‘popular’ or ‘influential’.
It’s got to be rock, or ‘rock n roll’, which is fairly redundant now-any who should be in on rnr grounds is prolly there already. By MY definitions, that leaves the Mc5 and Def Leppard.

I'm not a huge Devo fan, but they should go in. And they will. Same with Rundgren, though he's not as certain.

I feel the same about Prine as I felt about Leonard Cohen. Great artist, but an odd choice for this particular hall.

The one I feel most strongly about is the Zombies. They belong big time. And the fact that they're active (and playing great) adds to it.

Roxy would be great for musical reasons, but is it just me that finds Ferry really annoying? I dread his acceptance speech.
