The BCB Projects

Postby Moleskin » 29 Sep 2018, 13:09

Having discovered I only had the BCBeatles ripped at 192 and so ripping it again at a better rate, and it being the 50th anniversary of the original, and there having been some turnover here since its creation (10 years ago?), I wondered if there would be any interest in putting all the various BCB projects somewhere for people to d/l if desired (sendspace or similar).

BCBeatles 3CD
Ziggy Stardust / Electric Warrior 2CD
Led Zeppelin 2CD
The Velvet Underground 2CD
Guilty Pleasures 1CD
Our Compliments To The Chef (king feeb) 1CD
Pink Floyd 3CD
Between the BCButtons dl
BCBDecade (Neil Young) d/l
1967 dl
I Can’t Give Everything Away (Bowie) 1CD

The Second BCB Advent Calendar 2013 d/l and youtube

Lordy we were busy for a few years there, eh? And yet there was a long list of other potential artists / ideas to do. Would there be enough interest to attempt another? Here's the last list I collected of suggestions:-

    A Single Year: 1960
    A Single Year: 1973
    A Single Year: 1976
    A Single Year: 1995
    ABC – Lexicon of Love
The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
    The Beach Boys – Smile
    The Beach Boys – comp
    The Bee Gees
    Big Star
Bob Dylan – That Wild Thin Mercury Sound (BIABH, H61, BOB + singles)
    Bob Dylan – Basement Tapes
Bob Dylan – Blonde on Blonde
    Bob Dylan – Self Portrait
    The Clash – Sandinista!
    Eagles – Hotel California
    Eno's first 4
    Fleetwood Mac – Tusk
George Harrison – All Things Must Pass
Joni Mitchell – Court & Spark
Leonard Cohen – Songs of Leonard Cohen
    Mavericks – Trampoline
    Nick Drake
Prince – Sign O The Times
    Roxy Music
    Sly & the Family Stone
    Simon & Garfunkel – Bookends
Sister I’m A Poet – lyrics to be provided by non-musical BCBers, music from the usual suspects
    Teenage Fanclub – Bandwagonesque
The Who – Meaty, Beaty, Big & Bouncy
    VA - Film Themes
    VA - Bond Themes

(Of those, the 65/66 Dylan looks most interesting to me. And I can't imagine who thought the Mavericks was in with a shot.)

Indicate below if you’d like any of the extant projects made available for download and I’ll see to it.

I still have most of these. Some very good stuff on there. I think my favorite was Between the Buttons. Maybe it just held together as an album.

Digging these out to rip at a higher rate is filling me with a desire to listen to them again. May pop them all on a stick for the car.

They were a whole lotta fun. I did eight of them including multiple tracks on a couple. I wonder if it would be possible to pull another one together these days.
