Re: White Album 50th Deluxe
I noted that the standard White album in HMV is now £49.99. Which is top end. At this rate the new vinyl producers will kill the golden goose.

Re: White Album 50th Deluxe
My youngest boy (9) heard me listening to some outtake or another about a year ago and said (with some excitement at his discovery) "This is 'Half-Assed Beatles!"

Disc 4 looks tasty - Divisive Beatles, full spectrum.

For sure!
Granted, I suppose the evolution of "Revolution 9" is to this set as "Carnival of Light" was to Pepper Deluxe.

Interesting track - seems like they reverted to the Revolver era trick of recording a backing track in a low key (detuned/etc.) so that it would sound super tight when sped up.

Yeah, I can see that. The inherent chugging grunginess of this track is a bit "Sister Ray" or "Guess I'm Falling in Love".

I've got a Russian grey area 2CD set of that stuff, think the 12min. Helter Skelter is on that one.
