It wasn't instant for me when it came out but I grew to love it. Unlike Tactful Cactus, I don't hear it much nowadays so, on the rare occasions I do, it is still a bit of a treat.
Love Wars is great, too, but I prefer Teardrops.

Great singing, not horrible as 80s trappings go, but definitely on the wrong end of the General Timeline of Funkiness.

Unless you're Alexander O'Neil doing 'Criticise' with that fucking KILLER chorus. This doesn't have one.

It's not a masterpiece, but it is a fun late 80s gem in the same vein as Heartache Avenue or some other cheesy pop confection. A nice little toe tapper.
