All CDs come with many bonus tracks. Single A & B sides, BBC tracks, alternate and instrumental takes, etc. How much was unreleased I’m not sure.

Shame they haven't included a DVD (I think that Paris stuff was filmed)

The first three albums were piss poor, except for Thunderbuck Ram, a great track. Second rate Dylanesque songs with third division rockers thrown in.

The debut has 'Rock and Roll Queen' which is one of the best things they ever did!

They're super-patchy. And yet, the whole trip as a whole trip is weirdly fascinating to me.

And Brain Capers is fabulous.

Vastly prefer this to the glam period. Wasn’t something like this out before?

I suspect I'm on my own but I love Wild Life. Uncharacteristic perhaps but, I Hear You Knocking aside, it's a great misty morning record.

I'm thinking of a Mott/Island box, though not as close to the bottom of the barrel.
The new one wasn't on US Amazon; at least yesterday.

It is now

Never previously explored their pre-glam works but based on this thread now playing their first album. Hugely enjoyable from the great instrumental Kinks cover onwards. Very Dylanesque in parts but, and I'm not claiming that were innovators, the heaviness does echo his later 70s sound. I'm looking forward to the next three.
