Bob Seger's early stuff finally compiled

I'm kind of excited about this - it's never been easy to even hear a lot of it. And a lot of it is great.

There was a great boot of his pre-fame singles about 10 years ago.
I used this from it in my much-mentioned Cup triumph
This was a contender

It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

I almost used it once too, but thought better of it since everyone BCB hates Seger.
What the hell is going on here, JC?

I love him - but, yeah, this particular period is massively great.

They could only come up with 10 songs?

'East Side Story' is fucking great. I would have been tempted to get this set just for that alone, but i like a lot of the other songs on there too.

Playing it now. Damn, I've never heard these songs sound this good! Now I wish for a remastering overhaul of his entire '66 - '75 catalog.

Re: Bob Seger's early stuff finally compiled
Yeah, I found myself wishing that Abkco could've finagled a way to include the first few Capitol singles while they were at it. "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man" (likely my favorite Seger song) has never to my knowledge not sounded like shit on CD.
