Just submitted my list.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

Yeah, I’ll pull together my painfully mired in the golden age selection for this too.

You know, about 10 years ago Steve Stapleton was asking for tapes of female rappers, for a planned Nurse With Wound hip-hop album. It never materialised though, I hope it surfaces at some point.
Be still my beating heart!

I submitted a list but realised a couple of days later that I rushed it because there's many albums I completely forgot about. Can I resubmit?

So just wondering... How are positions determined, Fange? Are we still making it so that the number of votes dictates placing, then points act as tiebreakers? Or a more linear addition of points?

Yeah, sure!

Right, i was gonna score the albums in the same way as before; first will be the number of votes it receives from pollers, then the number of points it received from the positions in the pollers' lists. I think that makes most sense. Thoughts?

I agree! Was just wondering due to how you'd phrased it in the opening post.

Oh man I hate rap. Saw Kendrick Lamar and N.E.R.D. at Fuji Rock this summer and it was the most god awful codswallop and thanked heaven when their sets were over. Tell me to jump or get my hands in the air one more time motherfucker and I'll SCREAMMM! How that one note, crotch snatching, ego maniacal, lyrically awful, profane, dumb and dumber shit excuse for music ever got to be so huge is a mystery - hmm, maybe it's a conspiracy to dumb down the world. The Japanese are crazy for it, and they don't speak a lick of basic English, let alone "street." Somewhere the evil cabal are laughing saying, "They bought it. The dumb rubes actually still like that crap. I mean pet rock were a good seller but they caught on, but this rap thing? How many years since we got that schmuck to play the turntable? Yes, the turntable. And who needs notes? Man oh man.
Question authority.

I don't think I know enough hip hop albums to draft a meaningful list. How about making it Rap/Hip Hop/Prog ?

There's actually plenty of prog sampled in hip-hop!

Great post.
You’ve got most of the words that come to my mind. I’d have added utter and fucking in front of some of your adjectives but it sums it up pretty well.
