it's just another way of saying they're derivative. i mean, sure, it's fine to talk about diff threads in a band and what they might remind you of... but not if it's a write-off, ya know?

Okay, "Zoom Club" is one of my very favorite Budgie tracks. Slow build up intro into the big thudding riffs is a thing of beauty.

what is perhaps the simplest acoustic ballad budgie has ever done is my all-time fave. "you know i'll always love you"... snifffffle.

J/J, they started branching out in different directions after this album. Still retained a lot of heaviness but things got more varied. If I could recommend only one of their albums that I think you'd like best it would be Bandolier, the one that follows this one in the catalog.
