Have we ever talked about him? Shirley there are some fans here - Corp. Whore, maybe? WiM Shadow?

"Manly" Canadian folkie - great songs mostly about sailing - "Northwest Passage" probably the best-known, but I have a pretty deep love for this one:

Oh, and this is how he died:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Canada_Flight_797

Urban legend has him returning to the plane multiple times to help usher women and children to safety, but as is often the case, the story makes great legend (and has parallels in another well-known song of his "Flowers of Bermuda" in which a captain bravely goes down with his ship after rescuing the entire crew) but also defies logic - he was likely either burned to death or overcome with smoke very quickly.

If I never hear 'Barrett's Privateers' again during my life I won't complain.

Surprisingly, it's not as overplayed as B'sPs, but it's still not my cup of tea.
