Can you "mansplain" to another guy?

I'm just hoping he gives rhythm guitar lessons.

I only said "good." :D

Possibly somewhere in the back of my consciousness I'd really rather be Buckethead. Wouldn't we all, sometimes?

Whatever they were, they were never 'metal' of any description, so please stop using that word here. They were at best an adequate blues rock band with a decent rhythm section and an utter liability as a frontman. Thin of them as the hard rock version of The Stone Roses, and you won't be far wrong. A handful of decent tunes on their debut, but by the time Axl embraced racism and homophobia it was all over. Another rock god died, and good riddance.

They come down to three fabulous songs on the first album, for me.
The rest is just awful - I didn't care for it much back then, it just hurts my ears and my sensibilities now.

I never cared for them. I guess there are a few songs here and there which are fine enough. That said, I’d certainly take them over the likes of Van Halen or AC/DC.

I didn't really like them at all at first, since I mainly heard either "Welcome to the Jungle" or "Sweet Child" (still don't really care for either song) and I hated their image. Eventually grudgingly started to respect them (my typical arc for hard rock/metal bands popular in the 80's) especially after the punk covers album but didn't get the 'Appetite' album until years later. Had a brief romance with it (this was probably around 1998/1999?) but mainly don't bother with them anymore.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

Not a fan of the band as such but Sweet Child and November Rain are 2 great songs I don’t tire of.
