Easy Money, Berkeley June 16 , 1973

I'd assume that live Crimson is different from studio in the same way that Weather Report live were from studio.

It's getting rather intense now after a slow build up - and then back down again.

no he hasn't. The first shot is from a fee concert of him doing just Soundscapes. He couldn't control the photos so I jumped on it!
The last shot is that he allows people to take pictures when Tony Levin takes out his camera at the end of the performance.

It is a great version

the trouble with any non-Larks' version is that it is lacking Jamie's amazing percussion (he left soon after the album was released)

.

I know Bruford later tried to do some of it but yeah it doesn't sound the same.

Fripp's tone is just amazing.
Pontificating incorrigibly since birth.

This is my favorite jam on this album. Sounds like Muir is on woodblocks here.

Indeed - the lass is.

All studio albums up to Red are essential (I know kath would go further)

The extended live USA album is a good place to start to whet your appetite

Talking Drum, also live in Berkeley '73. Fabulous intro, magnificently moody.
