No way!

But that's not how Deja Vu sounds.

Deja Vu is CSNY by committee, every one of those songs would be better on their authors solo albums with their solo bands.

Commercially? There wasn't that big a market for triple albums. Critically? Mixed, like all their single albums. Artistically? The advantage Neil's songs hold over the others' is embarrassing.

That's only because he's your favorite. Like saying Lennon's songs were better than McCartney's, or vice versa. That album is great. Consisting of the best tracks from five good albums (well, maybe not Stephen Stills 2).

I'm on a mission. I'm going to convince *somebody* that CSN&Y in the '70s would've been HUGE!!

He's almost everybody's favorite. At least everybody with any sense.

Your beloved Rolling Stone, for one, went on and on about how Neil's two and a half songs on Deja Vu were miles better than anyone else's. (Mind you, I disagree with them in this particular case - I'll take "Carry On" and maybe even "Deja Vu" over "Country Girl" and my favorite song on it by miles is by Joni Mitchell - but there is still the "Nash problem.")

The title track is the best thing on there. Oh for a chance to hear it played by the If Only... lot.

I can sense a Beatles ‘71 thread.

The '73 one is better than the '71! Much better Nash songs.

If Manassas fit on the ‘73 then the first Crazy Horse record should go on the ‘71.

Stills is easily the weak link by '73. Crosby/Nash brought out the best in each of them.
