Maria gets my vote as well. As does Ordinary World. They both came quite out of the blue.

Beautiful Day is utter tosh.

Madonna and EATB

Hung Up is a triumph.

John, when I saw the title of this thread, I hoped that Ordinary World was included, to be honest. That song is spun gold. Fuck the haters.

I think Beautiful Day is what U2 should have been. Unassuming guitar pop that sounds ok coming out of your car stereo or in the background while you are buying a sandwich. They were really good at it. Shame about all the other nonsense they heaved onto us.

And I just love Let's Dance. The album and single. I would imagine it sounds and plays better now than it did then.

Dead right, Nathan.

I was thinking of starting a thread about Let's Dance - the album, but, you know....49 views, no replies....

Hung Up & Lets Dance are the wheat. Both flawed but there is magic present.

Now i am getting old I could easily ditch the rest into my never listen to again pile.

The U2 has something but it's U2.
Some mother's talking 'bout Guns' n 'Roses
As if i give a fuck
At best i think they suck
