I liked it but it was awkward. it seemed like the studio audience was unnecessary but the performance bits were certainly stronger for them being there. a little self conscious for "a chat show" but EC is very comfortable in front of the audience and he asked really good questions especially about influences. I never thought of Leon Russell and Elton in the same breath but pretty much all Elton did was talk about Leon Russell.
EC casts a really wide net and it made for a very interesting show if not a particularly brisk and entertaining one.
