I think Jimbo had a great voice, especially before the booze pickled it. I love his croon in particular. He brings a real kind of occult magic to those early records in particular.

I know he became this kind of cliched, counterculture Athena icon. The face staring down from a million student walls but he looked fucking great in the early years, like a hippy Dionysus with his Alexander The Great hair and fucking leather kecks. No wonder parents were shitting themselves. You wouldn't let your daughter go out with him, would ya?

Maybe he should have kept his knob in a bit more mind but you can't have everything.

There's actually no proof that he took it out.

Well it was a cold night.
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

I heard those in the first few rows retrospectively compared it to the opening scene of Star Wars

Or the 2001 scene where the monkeys first see the monolith.

Not any more he won't.

I can't decide who to vote for. Both great in totally different ways. Surprisingly, I think the Doors without Morrison might be superior to CCR without JF. Hate to use that as a tie-breaker, though.
