Does controversial mean incorrect?
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Punk was a kick against glam as much as dinosaur and prog rock.

The 70s was the best musical decade.
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

You're all a bunch of cunts (to the tune of Ode to Joy)
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

I was having this discussion last week with someone. During just my four years of high school, there was the rise of disco and the start of punk/new wave and hip-hop.

That was almost 40 years ago and those three forms are still greatly influencing contemporary pop music.

The Village People blew The Four Tops out of the water.
On the whole, I'd rather be in Wallenpaupack.

Every single cover of Dylan sounds better than the original.

That is not controversial. The founder if small wonder, a legendary punk record shop in walthamstow, said "it was the era of Genesis, Queen, and the glam rock outrage [that led to punk]".
