Which is more up Neil Finn's alley, I would think.

Is it as boring as shit then?

as near as I can tell, Lindsay Buckingham is yet to make an official response to all this. this seems rather out of step with the way most artists use social media nowadays.

Mick/Stevie vs Lindsay. The rest are just onlookers.

So, if Christine McVie sided with Lindsay and they also toured as “Fleetwood Mac” which side would end up playing at 6 Flags the fastest?

Given the choice of watching Lindsay Buckingham solo or the rest of The band with Neil Finn I’d choose Buckingham all day everyday.

Not sure of the 6 Flags reference! Or of which Fleetwood Mac I'd prefer to see.

Christine's probably staying because of the money and because she rather enjoyed all the adulation last time around. John doesn't give a fuck but would side with Mick just because they're old mates. This really should have been televised in weekly installments. Anyhow the Mick/Stevie axis is where the power resides. Maybe during the tour there'll be a Christine/Mike/Neil grouping, and they'll all be sacked some time around mid 2019. By that time Lindsay will be ready to tour with them again.

“We were never able to do that since 1975 because certain people in the band weren’t interested in doing that,” says Nicks.

I'm sure their marriage didn't fail because of passive aggressive overtones. Nope, not at all.

Interesting that even with adding Campbell and Finn on guitars that there’s a third guitarist lurking behind John McVie. I saw the Christine McVie-less tour a few years ago and I think Buckingham was the only guitarist at that point.

I'd go see 'em if tickets were a decent price. £50 tops but you know it'll be double. Also would be good to get a view on what songs Neil will sing. Will they attempt any of his? Unlikely but putting one in the set would be good. Maybe do Stop Dragging My Heart Around - the Petty/Nicks duet with Neil singing that with her.

Thought The Chain sounded good, Gypsy less so.

Two clips

They sound pretty good. The show picked two Stevie numbers, which is unfortunate if we want to see the new guys, but understandable from a commercial standpoint.

Just watching the two Ellen performances, and all I can think is money aside, what enjoyment are they getting out of it at this point? They even looked bored on this.

There's no chemistry between Campbell/Finn and the rest of them, it's just a very well paid cover band. Neil sang alright but there was zero emotion there, it's hard to give enough of a toss honestly about this corporate fuckfest.

I hate live versions with L.B. He always sings it all clinched up like he’s gonna pop a blood vessel.

Yep, that's it. There's no chemistry between any of them - they're all just turning up, running on autopilot, making sure they don't embarrass themselves too much, and then scuttling off backstage where they probably don't even talk to eachother then (unless via their individual lawyers).

I'm embarrassed for Neil, I really am. Maybe it will grow into something a little less staged and safe but I very much doubt that.

You are better off seeing the Rumours Of Fleetwood Mac tribute band. At least they believe in what they are doing and put their heart into it

And they do a very decent Green era section too, if its the same one I saw.
I would definitely recommend them over the $fest that the current iteration represent.

Just seen a setlist from last night in Tulsa (I think) :

The Chain
• Little Lies
• Dreams
• Second Hand News
• Say You Love Me
• Black Magic Woman
• Everywhere
• I Got You
• Rhiannon
• Tell Me All the Things You Do
• Storms
• World Turning
• Hypnotized
• Oh Well
• Don't Dream It's Over
• Landslide
• Isn't It Midnight
• Monday Morning
• You Make Loving Fun
• Gold Dust Woman
• Go Your Own Way
• Free Fallin'
• Don't Stop
• All Over Again

"I Got You" and "Don't Dream It's Over" (I would imagine these are his two biggest hits in the USA?) for Neil and "Free Fallin'" for Mike Campbell.

Lindsay Buckingham was just announced the other day to play Hardly Strictly Bluegrass this weekend.

I thought that was kinda strange since he didn't want to tour, but maybe it's just a one-off. His family's from here so maybe he has a place near.
