I went back to the Venue as I forgot to close my tab. There was Dean Wareham packing his shit up. (We saw Luna). We had a nice chat. For some reason I told him about BCB. I don't think he's going to join though. What a nice bloke.

Oddly enough, Luna would be one of the bands I wouldn't take the $500 to miss..

Yeah me too. They're fucking stunning.
Watching them yesterday, I had essays going round my head that I wanted to write that luckily I was too tired to remember by today :)
You come at the Queen, you best not miss.

I'd happily do it for nothing!

What's the latest time a band/artist can come on stage before you think 'this is too fucking late for me'?

Probably about 10pm.

Do you like being UP FRONT?

No, if it's a standing show I prefer to find myself a space near the back of the venue, preferably with not too many people around me. I'm like Sheldon Cooper at gigs. I don't like crowds, and I can never be arsed standing around for ages before the band come on, which you tend to have to do if you want to bag a space near the front. My ideal gig M.O is to arrive ten minutes before the band take the stage, just enough time to buy a beer and find my spot.

If it's a seated gig I don't mind being near the front.

What do you do about pissing etc? What are your piss plans?

Like most people have said, don't drink more than a couple of beers, and nip to the loo as late as possible before they come on.

Would you hate it if the band/artist copped you yawning?

I would, so I practise stealth yawning.

If someone gave you five hundred dollars to miss the show, would you?

Depends who it is, but nine times out of ten, yes.

I can think of some shows I've seen where almost no amount of money would have persuaded me to miss them though - Television, Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, Kraftwerk, Caitlin Rose, Dexy's, The Delines, Songhoy Blues, and an Arvo Part orchestral concert.

As we're going to a LIVE SHOW tonight, I thought I would ask the following;

What's the latest time a band/artist can come on stage before you think 'this is too fucking late for me'?
11 ish
Do you like being UP FRONT?
Fuck yeah. I like to see the whites of their eyes
What do you do about pissing etc? What are your piss plans?
Pissing is for losers
Would you hate it if the band/artist copped you yawning?
Fuck em if they haven’t held my attention
If someone gave you five hundred dollars to miss the show, would you?
If it was Luna, of course.
