PIL first - they had a few moments where everything came together perfectly and this was certainly one.
BAD next - Record Mirror loved them, and isn't there a 5CD box set avaialable, but really they were one hit wonders and this was pretty good.
Electronic last - Johnny Marr always managed to get the worst out of whoever he played with post-Smiths (even the Cribs ffs)

Re: Which one is THE BEST
Was split between the fantastic Electronic, almost certainly Marr’s finest post-Smiths three minutes, and the evergreen Harry Flowers thrills of BAD. That lyric and those samples still go a long way, so it got the nod.
The PIL is decent in the intro and verses but the chorus/refrain is a bit of a chore. So, of course, it’s the BCB choice. Never change, guys.

That BAD record is terrible!

I have a mate who’s 50 this year and this was a really important record for him.
I don’t think it’s aged well at all and Jones sounds hopeless.

PIL, then Electronic (though Getting Away With It is better), and BAD a long, long way behind, a similar sort of standing to N-n-nineteen in the novelty rankings.

No, me neither. In 1993, maybe.
Now it's all 'Dave' Axelrod, Red Krayola and Karen Dalton, of course.
phew! think I got away with that

I don't mind that BAD one, but maybe that's because I heard "Rush" and "The Globe" first and it just sounds better by comparison to those two atrocities.

These are all a bit 'meh' for me, to be honest. I remember these coming out in real time as a teen, and thinking they were ok - both artists and songs - but feeling like they were reaching for something they couldn't quite capture.
Electronic's 'Getting Away With It' is magnificent though - a 24-carat classic.
