Lennon’s vocal on “Hide” is the difference here.

I love the fuck outta that You're Gonna Lose that Girl clip but why on earth would you cut off the "boys, are you buzzin" bit?

All good choices. When I saw the topic line but not the candidates, my impulse response was The Night Before. But of course the answer of YGTHYLA.

Three awesome tracks. I've always had a soft spot for TNB. Lovely background vocals.
Nobody's ferpect.

It's hard for me to choose between "YGTHYLA" and "TNB". The former has the more intriguing lyric and (arguably!) the better vocal, and a luscious acoustic guitar sound... but I love the latter's arrangement, and the swing the boys play it with. Of course, "YGLTG" is a gem, too - the transitions into and out of the "I'll make a point.." section are breathtaking. And visually it may be the best of all the Help! "videos."
Oh, screw it, I'll go with "YGTHYLA".
They were a pretty good little band.

Re: three from 'Help!'
I like the Silkie version of YGTHYLA more.
OK, maybe not quite, but I think the arrangement is more appropriate to the song. Never thought the flute really worked - why is it not a Lennon harmonica solo? If he's doing Dylan, why not take it all the way?
Anyway, I've always found YGLtG thrilling (particularly the "I'll make a point..." part) so that's my vote.

YGLTG is the one here, their effortless genius in capsule form. The other two are great too - TNB an unheralded blast, the Dylan one clearly the canon choice. Help! gets a lot of short shift on here but if they’d sustained the quality of the first side over the full album, you’d have a record as good as they managed.

I love Maccca, but The Night Before is the weakest of these three.
It’s a tie of brilliance between the other two.

Too true!
I dearly love all three (the "Fuck YEAH!" of seeing Paul perform TNB on one of his tours cannot be overstated, and there are so many things that make YGLTG an incredible arrangement and record...I was in a duo that performed it without the lead vocal, and it worked perfectly fine with just the guitars and backing vocals), but...
There's something about "Hide". The sound of the thing is amazing - electric bass, tambourine, 6 and 12 string acoustics combined, a shaker (I think). "Lennon does Dylan" just has so much Lennon in it...

'The Night Before' - great
'You've Got to Hide Your Love Away' - genius
'You're Gonna Lose That Girl' - whatever's beyond genius - I get chills thinking about it
