Sadly, they haven't had decent writers for years. The magazine, since becoming a freebie, had just become a series of adverts, they'd decided to throw all their weight behind their online site, but the standard of reporting/writing on there is woeful. Just the other day there was a news article on how Stan Lee, the originator of Marvel comics, had been suffering from pneumonia. The article described him as "she".
There's been many other pitiful examples.
