I don't know what to make of the film Jon Ronson made. It was supposed to be about Frank Sidebottom, but it wasn't. I'm hoping this will be more about him.

I like Ronson’s writing but I don’t think it transfers into partly fictionalised form that well.

Saying that, The Men Who Stare At Goats was worse than the Frank film.

I’m looking forward to this doco, Frank / Sievey is an interesting and genuinely funny character.

I went to see his solo show at Brighton’s Zap club with my then girlfriend and she was baffled and bemused by the whole thing.

Yeah, that was confusing. Eventually I figured out what he was up to and was able to get into it - sort of - but I think I'll like this one better (if I ever get to see it).
