I saw Molly Hatchet at a tiny bar in Ohio in the mid 1990's, the place only held about 200 people. A tough time in their career, but they played a great show. Bounty Hunter and Gator Country both got played. And it was LOUD.

Cheers to you and yours, J/J.

Molly Hatchet is kind of a crankier, harder version of Skynyrd. The only heavier southern rock band I'm aware of than MH is Blackfoot. But there are melodic things going on as well, I hope you enjoy this.

Certainly started very well - only slight moan is the overall sound is lacking a bit of bite - I'm streaming via Amazon Music. Loving the guitars on Gator Country

Dave Hlubek, although all of them took lead turns at one point or another.

And lest I forget, a special hello to the lovely Gatorette Kath, Queen of the Swamps and all the little critters that creep therein.

Intro to Big Apple best so far, crisp crunchy chords, into a swaggering verse.

I would also recommend Beatin' The Odds, although Danny Joe Brown had left temporarily and Jimmy Farrar had taken over on vocals. The title track especially is a real barn-burner.

The live album from the 80's is also stellar and has a cover of Free Bird that is both very respectful and full of vigor.

Nice bassline (sounds even better with a subwoofer!)

i've always made friends with all those lil crittern, even when i was a kid. my dad went fishin once and brought home a baby gator. i wanted to keep it in the bathtub as a pet. my dad didn't agree. i was distraught for days. it's true.

Y'all playing The Creeper or going straight to The Price You Pay?

The Creeper is listed as a bonus track on Amazon.
