I would also recommend Beatin' The Odds, although Danny Joe Brown had left temporarily and Jimmy Farrar had taken over on vocals. The title track especially is a real barn-burner.
The live album from the 80's is also stellar and has a cover of Free Bird that is both very respectful and full of vigor.
