Jimbo no riddle here just was thinking about this with the Beatles thread and couldn't come up with much of a list so wondering if I wasn't aware of others and it might turn into a thread.

In regards to the Doors- I understand they took to credit to all but did anyone but Jim write the lyrics? not discrediting the band for that just wondering?

Wiki says Jim only wrote the second verse of Light my fire.

Is that the verse with the insipid "funeral pyre" lyric?
Question authority.

The Incredible String Band, although there's only one album with all three present.

Pentangle, if you ignore the split in 1973.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

The Clash is definitely one of those. Everyone got 25% of writing credit for everything. But even so I think they did have four songwriters. Paul had Guns of Brixton and Crooked Beat, and Topper had Rock The Casbah & Ivan Meets GI Joe. One suspects the songs Mick Jones sang were written mainly by him.

But, wrong era for the OP.

And it's still not quite the right era - off by a few years - but Moby Grape had all five members writing songs.

The Wailers, 1963

Adding a few more years,

The Byrds, 1965, probably 1964 could be argued,
Buffalo Springfield, 1966
Fairport Convention, 1966
