The funny thing is I saw Vomit Launch, which was from Chico, CA, and I saw Vomit Launch UK, a british punk band who opened for the DKs and had to change their name because there already was a Vomit Launch.
I liked the Chico band better.

Not counting local bands few people outside of Texas ever saw, I recall seeing this group, Hypnolovewheel, in a club in Austin. I think one of their members was an artist or writer on Spider-Man comics for a while, and inserted a mention of the band in one Spider-Man story.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

I'm friendly with Dan Cuddy from that band. He's still around, making music.

I thought they sounded pretty good. Never looked into their albums, though.

Most of the obscure bands I've seen are no longer around.

I was on the same label as them back when I made my album. Saw them a few times. Nice folks.

Agreed!
Rooting around on Youtube, I see they were recorded by Albert Garzon, which brings these guys to mind:
From my hometown, Poughkeepsie. My little brother was friends with them.

Re: Obscure Bands You've Seen That are No Longer Around
So many random indie bands from the 1990s...
Meanwhile Back in Communist Russia
Baby Chaos
Mosquito
Easy
Sharon Stoned
Tse Tse Fly
Flying Saucer Attack
Snowpony
Eardrum
Shivaree
There are several singer-songwriters from back then that I loved and I really wonder what happened to them - John Wolfington, Christina Rosenvinge, Lhasa de Sela.
