Quite like the new Ray Lamontagne-album, it is not spectacular but enjoyable.

Anyone here heard the new Ry Cooder?

It starts well and then begins to grate towards the end.

I'm very excited for Olivia Chaney's new album, coming out next month. The first single is promising

I heard a great song off this blaring from somebody else's car stereo this morning. I think I want to hear the album now!

That's good - I bought V today and have yet to play it. Sunflower Bean seems like a huge career-defining improvement on anything they have done before.

This seems to be making a bit of a buzz at the moment in the world of immaculately produced indie:

It's too like Camera Obscura for me; I wasn't convinced.

I think it's a very poor year so far. Over half-way through and nothing particularly "special" yet.

I think I like this...

Where's DGS when you need him :?

Sons of Bill, Dawes and Johnny Marr are my 3 latest acquisitions and splendid they all are. Having said that, I've added very little to my collection this year, maybe 20 if that.

The new Cowboy Junkies and Jayhawks records are well worth your while.

New Kamasai Washington.

Only played the secret hidden disc, a fucking cheese fest that doesn’t prompt me to play the rest.

After 20+ albums from 2018, this remains my favorite so far.

I like Heaven and Earth but as with his last (full) album there's far too much of it.

The songs by the second guitarist let it down a bit but there's at least half of a brilliant PC album there. And the Dangermouse production is not at all heavy-handed.

Some of the Minutemen references are a bit too heavy-handed for me but the PC is one of my favourites of the year so far as well.
