Best of these happy songs?
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

I'd have taken the Garbage song if it was there - their finest moment.
From that lot, it's the Fabs for me, predictably. I love the frantic rhythm guitar, the naivety they still had (and would lose just a year or so later - or so it seemed on record!).

The Beatles. One of my favorites as far as melody and background vocals.
The Ramones, Who and Siouxsie, next in that order.

ooh, four good ones and the Beatles and Stones. I voted Happy Jack, but siouxsie, J&MC and the Brudders were all in with a shout.

Siouxsie by a long way, unsurprisingly.
Then:
JAMC
Rolling Stones
Ramones
Beatles
Who
And the Rolling Stones is the cut-off for anything remotely acceptable to me.

Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Stones or Ramones with the mops in the honorable mention position.
Like these all a lot. Like the Turtles song too, but I'm sick of it due to overexposure.
