Definitely his best album and you're right about Jimmy Dewar, although he had a number of really good albums up to and including the live album. Love the title track on Long Misty Days, just as good as Bridge of Sighs.

A bleak tour de force. The Lanegan tracks are nice enough but don't really add to the power of the original lp. Of all the Seattle collaborations of the era this stands way above the rest. Literally.

Got a few albums by Lanegan and Queens of the Stone Age, saw ML with them quite a few years ago. Always thought he had a great voice. have to dig one out.

I’m a massive Lanegan fan. I’ll confess to having it all. The QOTSA stuff is very good but the first 10 solo and collaboration with Isobel Campbell are pretty much unimpeachable. As are Sweet Oblivion and Dust. But you probably know that.
