Oooh, excellent thread subject - however, I'll have to wait til after work to listen and vote.

Golden Brown and Tori Amos have already been mentioned, but my first choice would be Matthew Sweet's awesome wall-of-sound suite Thunderstorm

The solo in Yes's "Siberian Khatru" is pretty wicked.

'Different Drum' and 'Two Sisters' of those from the list. Love both dearly.

This is a personal fave song featuring harpsichord...

The YT video has it as a Jacksons tune, but it's off Michael's first LP.

Strictly speaking, the video has it as a Jakson 5 video.

It only lasts for 16 seconds or so but it's really lovely.

Indeed. Well spotted, musky - I stand corrected. :)

They've been riding on the Jacksons' coattail for years.

True. As you would know, the proper name of the group is The Jaakssons, one of Finland's first and biggest blue eyed soul groups.

They were actually from Iceland and their biggest hit was I Want You, Bjork.

For those with a short attention span, there's a fabulous solo by John Ginty at 4:30-5:00, but Greg Kurstin and Brian Kehew are also credited as "electric harpsichord" players.
