All great peaks and great lulls, but XTC is the only one that could do an album or concert RIGHT NOW and I'd go out of my way to hear it. I also feel the need to own more of their albums than either of the other two.

Aerosmith was amazing at their peak, but "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" pretty much undid it all in one swell foop.

Slade never did anything truly terrible - at least that I've heard - so I guess they're the runner up.

XTC is the most consistent, but I’m more likely to put on either of the other two at this point. I’ll have to think more on this.

Rayge nailed it.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

I liked XTC a lot when I was younger but don't listen to em these days. They have some cracking tunes though.

Slade were a good and occasionally great singles band.

I voted Slade

Can't choose between Slade and XTC - both great favourites.

Aerosmith, on the other hand, have always been shite.

For me, it's a toss up between Aerosmith and XTC. I chose XTC because of their longer run and the Dukes of the Stratosphere.

Aerosmith, up to Rocks, were great. The drugs finally won on Draw the Line. They did brilliantly resuscitate a dormant career, but only a couple of their newer songs, like Dude Looks Like a Lady, could hang with their older hits.

Slade don't do much for me. Fun, but totally inconsequential.
