Angry Wasp in a Jar

I've long thought that Brian May used a horrible tone on those classic Queen albums. But I'm sure you have other suggestions...

I think he actually said he was a shit producer up until 1975, which whilst equally laughable, is different.....

Hmmm. well, I think an angry wasp in a jar sounds like a great guitar tone sound but I'll play along. If the question is "which one sounds worse" then I'll go Brian May. Personally, I like his distinctive, slippery sound but I do think it sticks out more on songs I don't like as much.

I actively disliked the guitar-sound on Type O Negative's albums- too clean where with more aggression a lot of those songs would stand out more.
Same thing I had with Queen- just need more fat bottomed aggression. Those layered passages are like teflon,

Now if he'd said after 1975...

Exactly, drain pipes are far superior to jars when it comes to amplifying wasps
