Neneh Cherry was briefly in The Slits, whose lead singer was Ari Up, who was the step-daughter of Johnny Rotten, who was referenced in one of Neil Young's more famous lyrics ("Hey Hey, My My").

Crikey. That Bon Jovi one was a stretch. Anyway...
Terry Callier recorded Hidden Conversations with Massive Attack, who featured Damon Albarn on their Heligoland LP. One of the guests on Albarn’s Gorillaz album Demon Days was Ike Turner, who’s biggest hit with Tina (in the UK at least) was River Deep, Mountain High, written and produced by Phil Spector, who also wrote Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) for Darlene Love, which was laterally given a miserable rendition by the perfectly useless Jon Bon Jovi.

Terry Callier recorded a song called Lean On Me, as did the Redskins, who, on their Tube appearance suffered a microphone malfunction, a technique satirised by 70s comic Norman Collier, a great favourite of Bob Marley who toured with Bruce Springsteen, a New Jersey son like JBJ innit?
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

And again...
Callier collaborated with Beth Orton on her Best Bit EP. Orton’s debut single was a cover of the Ronette’s I Wish I Never Saw The Sunshine.... and fin.

Terry Callier had a song called "You Don't Care"; The Ramones had a song called "I Don't Care", the record of which was co-produced by Tony Bongiovi, uncle of Jon Bon Jovi.

Michael Nesmith was in The Monkees, whose last album Good Times! was co-produced by Adam Schlesinger, who co-wrote the songs for the Hugh Grant-Drew Barrymore rom-com Music And Lyrics. Hugh Grant's vocal coach for that movie was Martin Fry.

Terry Collier was played by James Bolam in The Likely Lads. Bolam once went to the shops and bought a new jersey. New Jersey is an album by Bon Jovi

Kraftwerk stand dead still during their live performances but apparently it’s not unusual.

Kraftwerk met Iggy Pop and David Bowie on the TEE. Bowie collaborated with Brian Eno on a number of LPs as did Talking Heads. Tom Jones had a hit with a cover of Burning Down The House with the Cardigans.

Orange Juice's lead singer was Edwyn Collins, Rolf Harris covered Edwyn Collins' "A Girl Like You" on his Can You Tell What it is Yet? album, and Rolf is also famous for his novelty song "Jake the Peg-gy Lee".
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.
