Next Time Around is gorgeous. Stunning. I need to listen to the album again, has been a while. Saw a bit of the Fairports documentary on Sky Arts last night, will watch it back in full but the Sandy bit is really what interests me.

Coincidentally, I have played this gem a couple times this week - a very robust album.
Sandy is even better, then it is downhill with the other two. That may sound rather harsh (and Waltz has got its moments) but Sandy was a folk singer not a pop singer
A great voice. A great talent

Just this afternoon I came across all her albums in the second hand section.
That is just so wrong.

And did I ever tell you I had her big boxed sets in my hands in the HMV megastore in Oxford Street?
It was £ 150 and I put it back.
To find out weeks later it was going for £ 1.000.
I'm still hurting.

Oooh, i'd love to have that. I have the John Martyn Island box which i love but to have Sandy too. Rather annoying its so expensive. Re-release please. Maybe one day.

My wife bought it for me for Christmas (I rarely want anything in particular so she pushed the boat out when for once I knew exactly what I wanted). She ordered it, it was confirmed, payment was taken, delivery date confirmed. Nothing turned up.
Eventually got in touch with Amazon who apologised, refunded the money, said there was a glitch and we would have to re-order. End of conversation.
Went to re-order, cheapest was £870+. This was just a few weeks after the original order was made at £150. Gutted. Still gutted. And angry.
