Expound!
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

He's generally not that interesting a songwriter. "Another World" goes on way too long, and "Who Says" is not very interesting. "Time" is at least mildly interesting. No wonder Verlaine kicked him out.

That clip of Another World sounds like shit. There's no bass coming out of that stereo.

I love Quine's playing on this.

I really like the whole Destiny Street album. Another one from my collection I sold.

Actually, I'm being a bit flip. He can be dull, but when he manages to find the right balance between romanticism and guitar squonk,
he can be quite impressive and unique. I do like this, for example:

Sometimes there is a reason that people have a 'best known song'.

It's because it's their best.
“Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.”
"Don't be seduced into thinking that which did not make a profit is without value"
"'Seize the moments as they fly, know to live and learn to die'."

I think I'd take 'Love Comes in Spurts' over that one.

Nothing I've heard beats Blank Generation or Love Comes In Spurts.

Those two are both great

They're very good, but if you compare them to other punk era classics, they're not quite top tier.
In general I think most of Richard Hell's creativity went into his look and just being Richard Hell, rather than his music as such. And that's fine in a way, scenes need charismatic characters like that, but I'm in no great rush to reapappraise his music x number of years down the line.
