Viv Albertine – To Throw Away Unopened
Viv Albertine – To Throw Away Unopened
I enjoyed Viv's book more than Cosey's. This should definitely be worth a read.

I'm very interested -
read more on the book, her career, and was truly astonished. This from someone who knows little about Viv, The Slits, apart from a couple of tracks that I hold dear.
May I just say that she aged astonishingly well? It's not something that one has under real control, but seeing the photo and then learning she was born in 1954... well, I was surprised.
I'm going to order it today.

On the whole, I'd rather be in Wallenpaupack.

I really enjoyed her first one, so why not?
People use the overuse the word "brave" regarding memoirs, but I found it apt w/r/t hers. She didn't shirk from what was really a pretty ruthless and honest self-examination, but it was also lively and engaging.

Any mention of Viv reminds me of our own Mr. Bellows

Yes indeed. He was the most loveliest of tomcats. Any mention of The Ruts does the same
