Shit or Hit - Wee Rule

Postby Darkness_Fish » 09 Nov 2017, 13:15

What it lacks in originality, this thread surely makes up for in quality?
Heard this for the first time in absolutely donkey's years earlier, and I wondered what the love/hate split would be here

Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Neither really. It's alright ..of its time.
I much prefer 'Rub a Dub Soldier' by Paul Blake from which it nicks its chorus.

Don't remember hearing it before. I liked it

It's definitely of its time, that's a really cheap synth sound, and the beats are entirely TOTP 1988. But it put a big smile on my face when I heard it, and I'd genuinely forgotten it existed. It's a hit for me.

Never heard Rub a Dub Soldier before, but that didn't sound as cheap, or as much fun. Definitely 'influenced' this though.

Seriously, no more love for the Wee Papa Girl Rappers?

Shame. Shame I say.

I'm not really arsed.

But keep up this series, by all means.

I remember this.

They tried pushing it on the US audience as legit UK rap. Didn't work then, doesn't work now.
