1. G -I am the Black Gold of the Sun
2. K-Tel
3. Goat Boy - Pretty Thing or Curator Of Butterflies by Big Big Train
4. K - P-Funk (Wants to get funked up)
5. JC - Contact / Worried Worried / Neurotic Reaction
6. Fish (Dark) - New Order's Temptation

That's kind of a placeholder though, because it's a very personal song for very personal reasons, and I've tried and failed to write about it before.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Something from Lodger!!! I'd really like to read that, Oscar.
The Happy Mondays were disqualified from a special edition of the BBC’s Bargain Hunt after Bez broke the show’s rules by artificially inflating prices, handing victory to Pulp.

This is looking good - thanks everybody.

We don't need to have a hundred songs, of course - that was just an arbitrary number.

People can, of course, sign up for as many songs as they'd like. The reason I asked people to name the songs is that that way, we won't get any repetition (yes, it's nice to get different points of view on the same song, but there won't be much of a response to it the second or third time around).

I suppose people could nominate other BCBers to talk about a song, too. That might be fun.

I really like this idea. For example, you talking about a Fall song, or G explaining why he loves his fave Small Faces song, etc. It would be good, and a bit more interactive from the start.

Yes. I've been thinking about what I would write. (Not enough to go first, you understand.)

My writing abilities are not exactly top class in Spanish, much less in English, but I'll give it a try if I can recall something really meaningful to rant about. Above song could do.
Nobody's ferpect.

Hey JC, can you choose one you think I should do? Anything you know I like, or are pretty sure that I do. Might be more fun for me that way.
