George Harrison with ’My Sweet Lord’ is one of the modern ones, if I remember.

Amy Winehouse? Aaliyah?

Tupac in the ‘90s? Didn’t ‘California Love’ make number one?

One is right, one never had a number one, one had one while still alive. California Love didn't crack the top 5.

Hendrix, Lennon, Wilson, for sure. Aaliyah was number one after she died as one of the noughties ones.

Lennon does not count, as he had three posthumous number ones.
That's three from the 20th century and one from the 21st.

I’m guessing that Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran might be two other 20thC artists.

I know that Eva Cassidy had a No.1 after her death, thanks in part to Telly Wig-on.

Yep, all five of the 20th century ones have been answered now, and Ms Cassidy is right.
Eddie Cochran, Jim Reeves, Hendrix, Wilson, Mercury: in this century, Aaliyah, Cassidy (I'd never heard of her), Notorious BIG, Tupac.
I'm not going to be around much for a while, so why don't you take it away, Kev?

Make it one that I can answer 'cause I've got a good(?) question.

Must be Pretty Purdie.

Anyway, the correct answer to Tom's question is: me (Pretty Purdie was close)

Without listening to the song or looking it up, how many times does Bill Withers sing the words "I know" in 'Ain't No Sunshine'?
