Manfred Mann's Earthband

Any recommendations for albums?

I've heard the occasional Dylan or Springsteen covers but not one full album.

I like most of Solar Fire and parts of Nightingales & Bombers... not just the covers.

But that's about it.

These are the best four and all seminally robust:

Solar Fire (1973)
The Good Earth (1974)
Nightingales & Bombers (1975)
The Roaring Silence (1976)

Knowing you, I would suggest Solar Fire first

A great single - not on an album until the CD reissue (tagged onto Solar fire)

"Chance" album from 1980.

If you like the albums C suggested, as you should, continue on in release order, but avoid Somewhere In Africa, which is dire.
