There's a live version of White Mountain on a famous bootleg from the Trick of the Tail tour with Bill Bruford on drums & Phil on vocals that is just monumental.

I think you'll find a lot to like in this album. Lots of dramatics, lighter & darker passages, flutes, 12 string guitars chiming.... it has a wonderful atmosphere.

This album really benefits from the 5.1 mix, being the oldest of the bunch to get the treatment. Rhythm section is much more prominent, but not to the point of overpowering everything else.

Very well crafted - as you said a good range of textures and contrasts - though still organic.
