Suspect Device - Stiff Little Fingers
Complete Control * - Clash
Gad Save the Queen - Sex Pistols
Smash It Up - Damned
5 Minutes - Stranglers

* I rate White Man in Hammersmith Palais even higher but I'm not convinced it's 'punk'.
turn on, tune in, nod off

It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

That's not bad, actually.

I think I'd swap Janie Jones for God Save The Queen and Neat, Neat, Neat for Smash It Up.

Some very predictable choices thus far; any more surprising faves?

I can't believe you don't have a Green Day song there, B!

Dead Kennedys - California Uber Alles
Discharge - The Possibility Of Life's Destruction
Damned - New Rose
Crass - Rival Tribal Rebel Revel
Dickies - Paranoid

very hard choices to make

That wasn't my intention at all. Punk as a genre has a lot to offer outside of the usual UK late-70s stuff, and i was just saying that i was hoping there would be more of that other stuff. Does this equate to some sort of contest to you?

I'd love to find a new discovery or two (as i have, in fact) or revisit something i haven't heard in a while; this place can be quite good like that sometimes. You know, if you're open to that kind of thing, like talking music with people you don't necessarily know that well.
