One of those formative TOTP appearances that was squealed about in the playground the next day, see also "Dog Eat Dog", "Into the Valley" and "Swords of a Thousand Men".

Always really liked it. I have that first album too. It's pretty good, front to back.

I had the misfortune to see her weave her ooh ooh! ooh ooh!s into Hawkwind's canon some years ago. V surreal.

I found this quite irritating as a kid, and it still feels a little bit too gimmicky for its own good ( a lot of new wave seemed to have this quality, especially the more ersatz, bandwagonny stuff). It does sound better to me now though getting by on a certain brazen brassiness and a good drum track.
