Hey, old people! You're back in style!

http://www.whosampled.com/

I'm listening to Lothar And The Hand People right now (That's Another Story may be the best love song ever, by the way), so I typed then in - http://www.whosampled.com/sample/42000/ ... -on-Anyhow

So I tried Soft Machine - http://www.whosampled.com/search/connec ... %20machine

then Gong, they seem pretty borrowable: http://www.whosampled.com/Gong - I don't know who Quasimodo is, but he sampled both You Never Blow Yr Trip Forever AND Eat That Phone Book, so that's pretty cool. All us old proggers are the new OG's. But there again, so is Perry Como - http://www.whosampled.com/Perry-Como - as well he should be.

Fun little site!

I can't believe there are so many!

I think "Nettle Bed" would make a cool one.

Quasimodo is the alter-ego of producer MadLib. Not at all surprised by his eclectic sampling, he got access to the Blue Note archives and did a pretty amazing album called Shades of Blue:

Not even a sample but it totally works:

Holy shit, how awesome is the six degrees of separation thing? I think I might waste the rest of my working day seeing what the largest chain between any two artists is.

Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.
