Sure, but the thread title asks for acts you think are terrible. Objectively, The Shaggs are terrible but I enjoy them in (extremely) small doses. I imagine there's something to be found in The Dead and Crimson, but I'm buggered if I can see it. For me they're both terrible. I can't bear them.

I agree about the Shaggs, very small doses. Zappa was just trying to provoke when he said they were better than Beatles. Was he ever serious about anything?

Perhaps in the 70s and on. The 60s albums were Zappa having a laugh at the petit bourgeoisie, the establishment. When he got into avant garde rock and was given that freedom medal by Vaclav Havel, I think that went to his head.
